My name is Jerry Dwyer. I am the second of Don and Audley Dwyer’s six children. I was born in Oakland and grew up in San Francisco where I attended grammar school (St. Emydius), high school (St. Ignatius) and college (University of San Francisco). In 1962 I went to work for Kaiser and retired 35 years later.
Bennette and I got married in 1969 and in 1973 we moved to Castro Valley where we raised our two daughters. The kids are raising their own kids now but Bennette and I are still here.
I have been blogging on WordPress for the last ten years. Most of my posts have been photo stories of our travels around the world during this 21st century. But in these days of Covid-19 we are not traveling anymore and I seldom pick up my camera. So I have returned to another interest that I picked up about 25 years ago — my family history — and this website is the result.
